From the
Rising Phoenix, for
calming the spirit and
engaging energy…Come
to breathe deeply,
release tension,
create strength,
flexibility and
balance of mind, body
and spirit. Gently and
with purpose, we open
ourselves to the
tested benefits of
this ancient set of
movements, which help
to increase immune
system function,
reduce stress and
blood pressure,
increase
cardiovascular and
respiratory fitness,
improve sleep
experience, and so
much more. Often
called “moving
meditation”, these
mindful movements and
breathing patterns
keep energy up,
depression down, and
are taught at a pace
all can follow. No
competition here, just
personal application
of universal
principles. While
seated, standing, or
using a chair for
support, you will be
guided through easy
sets so you can “learn
it here, and practice
it anywhere”, as our
motto goes. For pre-,
during, or
post-treatment use, as
well as for
caregivers, this class
is designed with you
at its center, to help
you focus on your
center. Sometimes in
silence, sometimes
with laughter, “T’ai
Chi is a step in the
right
direction…followed by
another… and another…”
Taught by Cate
